Taking it Easy with GoodLuck

I fondly remember a 2010 highlight for me was seeing the trio GoodLuck on stage at a Jhb event.

Immediately, I was a fan!

Shortly thereafter their hit track “Taking It Easy” from their debut album title “GoodLuck” made it onto the radio airwaves. And what a tune.

This past weekend I went to see this band perform live, and they did not disappoint. Alongside Dj Ricky-H and Phat Jack at Velvet VIP Lounge, from beginning to end GoodLuck had the crowd dancing!
This band clearly love what they are doing and from a fan in the crowd their passion is very infectous. The band is made up of Ben, Juliet and Raiven.

Ben tackling the decks and drums is so much fun to watch. Watching him it is evident he is just having the best time. Raiven, the quiet one 🙂 , is just a genius on the saxophone! The lovely Juliet is on vocals. She has so much energy from start to end when performing. Jumping off stage to sing and dance with the crowd for her, just seems comes naturally. This is something you do not normally see and that just adds to the appeal of the performance. Her confidence is amazing!

A highlight for all the fans at the event was the band performing their Number 1 hit track, “Hop On, Hop Off“.

I have had the chance to meet the band on a number of occasions and one thing is clear, they really love what they do. They are definitely one of the most down to earth group of folks you can meet.

Their album GoodLuck is available in all good music stores, as well as online on their fan page.

I am certain the band will continue making it HUGE not only locally but definitely internationally!

Here are some images I captured on the night.
